rotary club Jalandhar west organized a special meeting

All members of rotary club Jalandhar west organized a special meeting at a local hotel on 14/12/2023 to facilitate the five members of GSE team, which was nominated for this specific cause by Rtn. Dr. S.P.S Grover- District Governor threw during the period 2007-08 accompanying members were:
1. Rtn. Dr. Harjit Singh (Sultanpur Lodhi)
2. Mr. Mahesh Bansal
3. Mr. Amit Kapoor
4. Mr. Balwinder Singh
5. Dr. Atul Fulzole- MD
Dr. S.P.S Grover- PDG introduced the Chief Guest Dr. Atul fluzole & other members of GSE team. He told that now this program of Rotary international has been abandoned previously each rotary district used to send a team of 4 non rotarians & a team leader (Rotarian) to a foreign country for cultural  exchange & vice versa,and the other country also used to do the same.
Dr. S.P.S Grover also told about the current project of rotary club Jalandhar west like rotary dispensary ,cancer detection van & cervical cancer prevention vaccine.
All the members of GSE TEAM mentioned above briefed the members & their families about. their pleasant memories about their personal interactions with the humble & affable Nigerians people, who have left an indelible vision about rotarians of that country.
Dr. Atul Fulzole IG BSF Punjab apprised the members about the role & responsibilities of the BSF in the following aspects
1. Controlling the maintaining security of the approx. 550 kms of border areas.
2. Education to masses about the role of BSF.
3. Controlling the drug menace
Which keeps percolating from the neighboring countries of Pakistan and Afghanistan
4. Preventing un-authorized cross border activities besides check on smuggling & illegal immigration of the scorpion masses through international border.
5. BSF currently stands as the world’s largest guarding force.
Rotarian Dr. Raj Kumar Hastir (P.P) took the precedence of declaring the name of nominated president Ms. Dr. Pooja Kapoor for the period 2024-26  lauded and welcomed by all members unanimously.
Dr. M. S Bhutani former President of the Club was also facilitated with garlands on has being elected as president IMA Jalandhar unanimously.
