The brief description of the development works carried out by the members of Rotary Club Jalandhar West as designated through the Distt Grant of R.I.D 5160.
Works carried out at the premises of Two Primary Govt Schools.
It was mutually agreed with the sponsorship Club to carry out work at the premises of two Govt. Primary School. At Abadpura & Gandhi Camp. It included the construction of New Washrooms, Repairs to existing wash rooms, Repair to un-even floors in the courtyard, Repair to existing water pumping station to augment water supply including pipe fitting etc, repair of walls, windows replacement/ repairs to existing windows including painting and provide desks for the children.
Works carried out at Abadpura school
Complete new washroom with Plumbing including electric fitting -3- one for boys, girls & special children.
Plaster + Floor in front of their washrooms about 10 x 30ft.
Demolition of existing water tank & corner room. Repair to flooring of pump area- 20’ x 20’.
Pump station floor 20’ x 10’ including passage floor 20’ x 6’including electric fittings.
Repair to one class room 25’ x 13’ complete including electric fittings.
Mid-day-meal room, re fitting of steal sink, electric fitting, water supply fitting & new water tank 500 liters with store partitions & other necessary repairs + white / colour wash including roof top floor & parapets etc. Including vitrified tiles inside store room.
Plumbing works in the mid-day meal room
One septic tank for taking the load of above room/kitchen.
Plumbing work of water cooler including fitting + external flooring (12 x 6ft) outside mid-day meal room about (20 x 30 feet).
Area cleaning & flooring for mid-day meal room of size 40’ x 10’at the school premises.
Gandhi Camp
3 bathroom new& renovation of existing washrooms.
Rain water pipes- for area drainage of accumulation of water at the roof top..
Flooring- with inter lock tiles in the courtyard.
Sewerage pipe new & the area drainage of courtyard.
Seeptic pit- 5 x 5 for handicap children/ washroom.
Repair to existing kitchen, marble floor to this area
Replacement of existing water supply including pipes & fitting complete near about (25mm)- 600, Sewerage pipe- (150 mm)- 300.Repairs of walls/ flooring of one room, the service, kitchen room for mid-day meals at the schools, including new roof- Painting was done in addition of the work previously settled with the schools, because of the demand by the schools on urgent basis.All these above works were achieved though the kind cooperation of Mr. S. Kohli- Head Teacher-Govt. Sen. Sec. School for girls Abadpura.
We are also thankful to Ms. Resham Kaur- State Awardee who was instrumental in the coordination between Rotary & affected Govt. Schools for the projection of works and their execution.

Kuldip Singh- P.P, Er.Joginder Singh, Rtn. P.P Darshan Singh, Jagdish Kataria, Raman Bhalla for able planning & execution of Works, as carried out by Rotary Club Jalandhar West.
