Members of Rotary Club Jalandhar West organized an official annual visit of Distt. Governor Distt-3070, Rtn. Vipan Bhasin on 25th April 2024.

This visit was conducted in three different phases as peetails.

1. The Distt Governor was received by the members at SBT School, Thapran Bagichi Sodhal, while coming from Amritsar, where he was taken around to have a close view of the various projects undertaken by the club viz.

(a)  Provision of School benches for children, who would earlier attend classes by squatting on the muddy floors.

(b)  Provision of baths/washrooms for boy & girls of the school.

(c)  School constructions of new block of library & additional class rooms at the school premises.

(d)  Addition of New Eye & Physiotherapy wing to the School conglomerate structure of the school.

(e)  The Eye operation equipment’s & tools were also purchased by the contribution of the club members in general & major donations came up from Ms. Gulzar Singh Soand- from Australia & brother of our club member Rtn. M.S Soand.

(f)   The next phase of this annual inspection was the club Blood donation camp where most of the club/ Inner wheel members came forward to voluntarily donate blood for the service of the humanity/ poor masses, as & when its requirement arises.

2. This event was followed by a club assembly at the residence of Rtn. Dr. S. P. S Grover- PDG, where the team members of Rotarians from Amritsar accompanying DG carried out the virtual inspection of papers/ documents, which were presented to the DG, as laid down by the standard procedure as per Rotary manual/ procedure. The Distt governor came up with the concluding remarks as felt fully satisfied & contented on the methodical procedures adopted by the club members for the efficient/ smooth functioning of the club affairs.

The concluding phase of this special meeting was organized at a local hotel where the stage was organized by the Rtn. Shikha Juneja. Secretary by inviting the following Rotarian members on the dias as: P.S Bindra – President, T.P.S Bajaj- Project Chairman, Dr. S.P.S Grover- PSG, Vipan Bhasin- DG, Shikha Juneja- Sectary, Kulwinder Singh Jolly- AG, as called in order of precedence by MOC’s Rtn. Dr. Pooja Kapoor & Guninder Kaur Past Chairman Inner Wheel.
