The parents of a boy by the name of Mr. Rakesh Kumar fromalia

Village DASUHA approached Rtn. Dr. SPS. Grover PDG- RI District 3070/Member of Rotary Club Jalandhar West for the treatment of Congenital Heart disease (Hole in the heart) and came up with request for the operation of this problem, (present since birth) to be taken up on Charitable basis since they are not in a position to hthe heavy expenses involved in this case.

Members of the Rotary Club Jalandhar West had a meeting and decided to take up this case on compassionate basis and contacted Rtn. A.P Singh of Rotary Club of Chandigarh. The Rotary International has a program of Gift of life where children with congenital heart disease like V.S.D, ASD, PDA can be taken up under a Global Grant Project & this child was taken up under the scheme. The boy was sent to FORTIS HOSPITAL, Mohali and got him operated successfully for the VENTRICULAR SEPTAL defect.

Patient has recovered now and got cured of the problem.
