All members of Rotary Club Jalandhar West assembled at a local Hotel to “Ring OUT the President Rtn. P.S Bindra & Ring IN the New President – Rtn. T. P. S Bajaj.”

The Chief Guest at this meeting was S. Charajit Singh Chani- (M.P-erstwhile CM of Punjab).

The meeting was initially presided over by Rtn. P.S Bindra, who welcomed all the members, including their families & the attending media persons.

The President categorically thanked all the members for rendering full support throughout the reckoning year 2023-24, thus resulting in achieving the output as follows:

Projects done: 79 numbers

Marriages of eligible girls of the families living below poverty lines- 7 number.

Two eye care & surgery camp conducted by Rtn. Amandeep Singh Arora including where & more than 250 eye surgeries performed at this camp.

Tree Plantation camps performed during the reckoning year at the different locations in the area.

Mammography camps: 14 No’s – All over Punjab, Jammu-Kashmir

– Blood donation camps: 7 No

– Fibro scan camp for liver: 3 No

– Cervical vaccination camps: 2no

The changes of guards was done by Rtn. Dr. S.P.S Grover- PDG as the installing officer.

Rtn. P.S Bindra- Outgoing President was awarded the Following citation by DG at Distt Conference

(A) Best President of zone Distt-3070

(B) Best contribution of Rotary Foundation

(D) The Secretary Report was presented by Rtn. Shikha Juneja – Club Secretary though multimedia projections, highlighting the prime events that took place during the reckoning year.

The incoming president Rtn. T.P.S Bajaj expressed his thanks to all the members of Rotary Club Jalandhar West for having nominated him as the President of this esteemed club and vehemently expressed through his assurance to the members to continue carrying out more useful projects and many more worthy camps for the benefits of the society, which shall ensure him, taking the club to new greater heights, as ever before.

The Guest Speakers viz Rtn. Tarun Kumar- AG & Rtn. Kulwant Singh- Facilitator as also Mrs. Jasleen Sethi- Ex Councilor of the area lauded the role of the club President, his members and ranked the Rotary club Jalandhar West as the NUMERO UNO Club of the Distt-3070.

The Chief Guest Sh. Charanjit Singh Channi M.P appreciated the useful Projects/ Camps as carried out by the Club members during the reckoning year, expressing his satisfaction at the club proceeds in the right direction as to chieve achieve greater heights in the current period of time and assured the members to find him, to be one of them, as the need arises, any time as deemed fit.

The vote of thanks was propose by Rtn. Dr. H.S Pal (Project Chairman).
