Under the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. Mrs. Ajay Sareen, Freudian
\nPsychological Society and Drishti Technology Centre for the visually challenged
\norganised a Sensitisation Drive : A Compassionate step towards inclusion.\u00a0 The
\nresource persons were Mrs. Seema Chopra (Social Activist) S. Amarjeet Singh
\nAnand (State Disability Activist) Mrs. Deepika Sood ( NGO Saksham Punjab). They
\nwere welcomed by Dr. Ashmeen Kaur, Head P.G. department of Psychology and Dr.
\nPrem Sagar,\u00a0 Head, Department of Music, with a planter and\u00a0 an art work prepared
\nby the students of HMV as a token of love and appreciation. Students of Department
\nof Music sang a wonderful composition in order to celebrate\u00a0 the 77th Independence
\nmonth. In the workshop Dr. Prem Sagar talked about the challenges faced by
\nvisually challenged people . He told students about "Be my eyes" app where they
\ncan volunteer and help visually challenged people. Mrs. Deepika shared her words
\nof wisdom and told students about how visually challenged people use laptops and
\nhow they can read with screen reading softwares. Mr. Amarjeet Singh Anand shared
\nincidents where government turns a blind eye towards the needs of special children
\nand how people should be empathetic towards these children. Mrs. Seema Anand
\nChopra talked about how people should be sensitive and empathetic towards people
\nwho are visually challenged or challenged in any other way. The session ended with
\nan interactive question answer round with all the resource persons and students
\nsharing their stories how they helped people with special needs. Ruhani of B voc.
\nSem 5 recited\u00a0 a wonderful poem on this topic. Principal Prof. Dr. Ajay Sareen
\nappreciated this initiative and congratulated the Department of Psychology and
\nDrishti Technology Centre for organising workshop on such a sensitive topic. Ms.
\nAyushi ( B.A. sem 5) conducted the stage. Ms. Vanshika gave the formal vote of
\nthanks On this occasion Ms. Shruti Bidani, Ms. Anjali Nandan, Ms. Nidhi Sharma
